School Training
First 30 Group helps schools strengthen their ability to prevent, respond to, and recover from active shooter incidents and other emergencies. Our programs are tailored for school administrators, safety teams, teachers, and support staff, and emphasize practical strategies, emergency planning, coordination with first responders, and realistic tabletop exercises. Training is customized to each school’s environment, policies, and operational needs to improve preparedness before an emergency occurs.
School Leadership & Safety Team Preparedness: Active Shooter Prevention, Response & Recovery
Designed for leadership and safety teams, this workshop strengthens prevention, response, and recovery capabilities while incorporating emergency planning and physical security best practices.
The program emphasizes coordination, communication, and decision-making during rapidly evolving incidents. Participants conclude the workshop with a facilitated tabletop exercise using the school’s floorplans, chips, and injects to simulate a realistic event within the client’s facility.
Unified Preparedness: Joint School Safety Workshop
This flagship program brings together school leaders, SROs, and local first responders to improve preparedness and coordination within the school’s actual operating environment.
The workshop combines active shooter preparedness training, emergency planning, and a facilitated tabletop exercise using the school’s floorplans, emergency plans, and campus layout to simulate a realistic, site-specific incident.
By training together, participants strengthen communication, clarify roles and responsibilities, and enhance coordination between the school and responding agencies before a real-world emergency occurs.
